The Vintage Bazaar in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire. RG27 8RE

The past few weeks have been manic - to say the least! We have been out and about on the road spreading the word about The Vintage Bazaar in Hartley Wintney.

 The fair takes place in this gorgeous building called The Victoria Halls and is situated on the A30.

Just along from the pretty High Street.....

We will be taking a selection of Vintage costume, accessories.....

  ...ceramics..textiles..many from France of course!

Vintage Costume for Kids!

 Having recently purchased a large quantity of Vintage childrens's clothing I will be spending the next few weeks washing, ironing and preparing these for The Vintage Bazaar in Devizes on Saturday 8th March.

Spring Florals

Despite the lack of Spring weather, I have been sorting out more textiles this weekend. The first Textile Fair of the season is on Tuesday 4th February in Honiton, further details here.  Above is a single French curtain which measures 135 cms x 215cm £30.

Pink Floral French Fabric, Selvedge reads Comptoir de l'industrie Textile de France. Romanex de boussac. "Rueil" - 1959 to 1974
145 cms x 3 metres £60. This is unused, but has a few marks where it has been folded away for many years.

A pair of Floral Curtains £35 the pair. Each curtain measures 115 cms x 117 cms

Textiles Galore!

Over the past few weeks I have had a good old fashioned sort-out of my "textile stock" before the busy run of Textile events this Spring. All of these can be purchased before the fairs, so please email me if interested in any of them. Green 1950's barkcloth (above) £10 per metre.

Pair of barkcloth floral curtains £15 the pair. Each curtain measures 110 cms wide x 88 cms.
I also have a large single curtain made from this fabric. It measures 145 cm x 140 cm, with a join. £15

A panel of early 60's fabric 83 x 93 cms. Has been used as a curtain, so is faded and has x3 tiny holes £8.50

Unused pale pink cotton with abstract flower design. 4 m x 112 cm £25

late 50's dress fabric  90 x 90 cms £8.50

French green abstract fabric 55 x 165 cms £15

Old barkcloth style fabric from France, not perfect..so great for projects/cutting. Size 112 cm x 2 m £25

Just to say a big sorry to anyone who came to see us at the Newark fair today. Sadly we were unable to set up the stand due to adverse weather conditions. Anyone who knows us will know that we did not take the decision lightly.We will be at the Vintage and Handmade fair in Chipping Sodbury on Saturday and the Shepton Flea market on Sunday, so hope to see you there!

The West Country Vintage Textile Market in North Cadbury this coming weekend....

Expect to find pretty things and tons of textiles at The West Country Vintage Textile Market in North Cadbury Village Hall in Somerset on Saturday 23rd November.

 Just one of the 20 stall holders is Sallie, who has great stock and a brand new blog here.

Stefanie will be bringing delicious velvet ribbons and a stash of vintage Liberty fabric, for more stall holder info click here. The event is open from 9 am to 2 pm. Admission is £1 for adults.
