A quick update.....

Huge apologies for the lack of regular postings here on the blog. As you can see Spring is on the way and there are a dozen other jobs to be done! Textiles Galore!

January has spun by in a haze of selling at fairs and sorting out the stock. We decided to open an etsy shop last month, so are still in the process of working out what to place there......

At the moment there is a selection of small English and French textiles suitable for projects, patchwork etc...

Vintage fair dates 2015

I recently purchased some beautiful Vintage Nursery fabrics. These will be for sale on our stand at the fairs in 2015.

The first date is Tuesday the 6th  and Wednesday the 7th of January at the iacf Ardingly Antiques and Collectors fair in East Sussex. Closely followed by the iacf 3 day Antique and Collectors fair at The Bath and West showground near Shepton Mallet on the 16th to 18th January.

Next is the Giant Shepton Flea Market at The Bath and West Showground near Shepton Mallet, Somerset on Sunday 25th January. You can find our stall inside on the balcony above the clock.

 Into February....and we will be selling at The Hyson Textile Fair in The Mackarness Hall in Honiton on Tuesday 3rd Feb. Details on the website here.

Welcome to November

Here is an over-view of the events we are doing this month. Our first fair on November 1st is The West Country Textile Market in Trull Memorial Hall, near Taunton. Further details can be found here - or on our facebook page here

We will be bringing Vintage knitwear to the Ardingly Antiques and Collectors fair on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th. You can find us in the Textile Tent.

 This cute 1930's calendar will be for sale on our stand at The Roxy Vintage Fair in Cheddar on Saturday 8th November. Click on the link for further details.

Next up is The Chesnut Buttons Christmas Extravaganza at Junction 24 of the M5 in Somerset on Sunday 9th.

Expect to find textiles from France on the stand we share at The IACF Shepton Mallet Antiques and Collectors Fair at The Bath and West Showground which runs from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th of November.

 The Vintage Christmas stock will be for sale on our stand at Dee Dee's Vintage and Handmade Christmas Fair in Taunton on Saturday 22nd of November, and the following day at Vintage at the Village in Somerset  in Puriton Village Hall.

We are saving these fabulous 19th century pressed card decorations for The Vintage Bazaar in Devizes on Saturday 29th November. We will also have a selection of 1940's Vintage costume for sale there.

The final date in the diary for November is Miss Ivy's All Things Vintage and Festive event at the Palace Hotel, Babbacombe, Toquay on Sunday 30th November. Hope to see you somewhere soon!

Welcome to September...................

Time to update you with our run of fairs for September. The Camionnette Bleue has been busy all summer gathering treasures to take with us on the road.....

A new selection of French Vintage workwear coming to the iacf fair at Ardingly on the 2nd and 3rd of September.

Beautiful old English and French textiles for sale on our stand at The Talent for Textiles fair in Bradford on Avon on Saturday 6th. 10 am to 4 pm. Admission Free.

Unusual Crewelwork panels coming to The Vintage at the Village Hall Fair in Blandford Forum on Monday 8th. 10 am to 4 pm. Admission £1.

Next is our 3 -day fair at The Bath and West Showground for the iacf Shepton Mallet Antiques and Collectors fair. We share The Textile Tent with good friends who live in France..... so you can expect lots of lovely textiles and other goodies fresh off the ferry! Friday 19th to Sunday 21st.  Also.... on Saturday 20th is Miss Ivy's "All Things Vintage and Lovely" Fair at Woodlands Castle Hotel in Taunton. I will be there selling an assortment of French Textiles, magazines from the 1940s and other treasures. 10.30 to 4.30. Admission £2.

 Next is the Rag Market at The Willow and Wetlands Centre at Stoke St Gregory on the Somerset levels. We will be there selling Eastern European mangle cloths, Linens and other Vintage Textiles. The fair is on Friday 26th Sept, from 10 am to 2.30 pm.

Lou Lou's Vintage Fair at The Pavilion in Bath takes place on Saturday 27th September. Click on the link for details.

More quirky French treasures for sale on our stand at The Vintage at The Village in Puriton, Somerset. This takes place on Sunday 28th of September. 10 am to 4 pm. Admission £1.

Last, but not least is Hyson Fairs Textile Market in The Mackarness Hall in Honiton on Tuesday 30th of September from 9am to 4pm. Admission Free. This regular event is one of our favourites, not only can you expect a good rummage for textiles and trimmings, there are also some great shops in the town to visit.

The Textile Tent at The iacf Shepton Mallet Antiques Fair

 Just wanted to share a few photos from the fair we attended at the weekend........

Sunshine and showers were forecast, but it didn't stop lots of textile-lovers coming to the iacf Shepton Mallet Antiques and Collectors Fair at the Bath and West Showground.

We share the Textile Tent with Michele, Graham and Alan. Plenty of the stock is French and we do seem to compliment each other......

Every surface is covered with textiles, trimmings, lace and linens.............

 Plus handmade treasures by Mikael. (apologies if the spelling is incorrect)

Our next date at The Shepton Mallet Antiques Fair is the weekend of the 20th and 21st of September (trade day Friday 19th September). Click on the link for details of opening times. This is a special event as there will be additional outside stalls, making the fair bigger than usual. Hope to see you there!

Vintage Printing Blocks from France

After a very busy few weeks I am able to sit down and list the Fairs and Markets we are doing this month.....Our first event is the iacf Antique and Collectors Fair in Newark on Thursday the 5th and Friday 6th of June. As always we will be in The Textile Tent on Eastwood Way.

Hot on the heels are two Rag Markets. The first at The Willow and Wetlands Centre in Somerset on Saturday 14th of June and then the following day in Bradford on Avon at The Masonic Hall. BA15 1LN
Expect to find textiles, trimmings, lace, linens and much more....

The Ardingly Antiques and Collectors fair is next. Tuesday the 17th and Wednesday the 18th of June. This is a photo of our lovely marquee taken last Summer.

The Vintage Bazaar in Frome will be having the annual Vintage and Antique Textile market this month. Be sure not to miss this one as it is very special! Saturday 21st of June is the date. Doors open at 9 am and the Fair will end at 3 pm. Admission is £2.

The Shepton Mallet 3 day Antiques and Collectors Fair - Textile Tent. Friday 9th to Sunday 11th May.

Following the success of our Textile tents at the Newark and Ardingly Fair, we are launching a shared venture at the 3 day Shepton Mallet Antiques Fair. Alan will be bringing his usual fab stock straight from France....as will Michele Antiques.

 The fair opens on Friday, the complimentary/reduced entry tickets are only valid on the Saturday and Sunday.
